About the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Engagement
The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Engagement (FSE) supports students who have an interest in obtaining membership in one of our fraternities and sororities, the active chapters representing these national/international organizations, their members and advisors. In conjunction with the Joint Greek Council (JGC) and the Greek Advisory Council (GAC), FSE provides for the needs of the current and prospective fraternity and sorority membership by creating experiences ingrained in our 5 Pillars of Brotherhood/Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Dedication, and Community. We provide advisement, training, development, programs, resources, and services for our chapters, which enrich their lifelong friendships, academics, leadership, and initiatives that give back to the campus and the community yet support the social side of “Greek life.”
Other aspects of Fraternity & Sorority Engagement include:
- Create a safe and healthy community environment
- Provide accountability and opportunities for distinction
- Organize, standardize and oversee the new member process and activities
- Provide educational programs for member fraternities, sororities, and social fellowships
